Baseball in a little place called Target Field

The High School Prep State Tournament was held at Target Field last Thursday and Friday and this past Wednesday. I was able to spend all Wednesday shooting.

Eden Valley-Watkins played Lake Crystal Wellcome-Memorial at noon. EVW tuned out the win... check it out.

At 3, St. Cloud Cathedral took the field against La Crescent. Cathedral came out successful and filled the stadium with cheers and energy from athletes and fans.

And the season is officially under way!

While I'm not one to follow sports, I do like almost everything that surrounds them-- excluding the parking and traffic issues, angry fans, over-priced concession and bad, expensive beer to name a few!
So, if that's the case, what do I like about them? There seems to be something in the air when people gather to see these over-payed athletes hit, throw, or kick a ball around. Something infectious that gets the spirits sky high, regardless of the weather-- even though we did luck out this year.
Target Field and Peavey Plaza were over-flowing with all the Twins fans this year. I even had one passerby ask me what was going on and why there were so many people everywhere. Apparently the Mauer, Cuddyer, and Morneau jerseys weren't enough of a hint.

My How Time Has Passed

Nearly a year later... and here I am! I've decided to resurrect my blogger because it has something different to offer than my website or Twitter. I will be posting things-- past and present-- that I find interesting or some of my favorite things.
So keep your eyes peeled and check back often because I will be doing my best to post regularly!

So what have I been up to for a year?!

I was an intern at City Pages over the summer.... oh and it was amazing! Tons of concerts, sporting events and restaurant shoots!

I spent a month interning at Delta Sky Magazine working on a short-term project. I worked on a team to launch a Google Chrome application. Check it out here!

I had a very short break from the end of September into the beginning of 2011. I worked on a few pieces for City Pages and paid attention to my studies and worked on getting things together for my summer internship applications.

Since January, I've been at Minnesota Premier Publications. My efforts at photo intern have mainly gone to The Journal and The Southwest Journal, but have had a few photos in one if MPP's monthly magazines- Minnesota Parent.
They've been keeping me very busy and I've been loving it every minute of it!
